SwanMedica selected to a group of growth seeking companies

Kasvu Open is an annual sparring event and contest among companies seeking significant growth in their business. First the selected companies receive sparring on regional level and the best are selected to be presented in a national growth carnival in the end of the year. The sparring events are free of charge for the participating companies, sponsored by cities, business development companies, financiers, venture capitalists, chambers of commerce, etc.

SwanMedica Oy was selected among 13 other companies to this sparring in Northern Savonia region in 2021. There were total of 39 applications.

“A prescription pharmaceutical wholesale and marketing company is unfamiliar to the public, because by the law we promote our products to physicians and pharmacists only.”, says  Juha Waisanen, Entrepreneur-Managing Director of SwanMedica Oy.

The jury will evaluate participating companies in the following criteria: market potential, team, growth potential and proof of previous success. These criteria are the same in all regions.

“Our management team is going to update our growth and internationalisation plan during the Kasvu Open process. In addition we are going to actively network with the other participating companies and sponsors. Hearing the stories of other companies is always refreshing and interesting. The best moments are when you can adapt an idea from a completely different sector to your own business”, Waisanen says.
