Welcome to SwanMedica’s homepage!

Welcome to our updated digital presence! We do not sell or market anything to the general public, but of course our Business-to-Business partners and others are sometimes interested about SwanMedica in the internet and in social media.

Now, after the past year’s financial statements and other official tasks are completed, and at the wake of the summer holiday season, we are proud to present the first version of SwanMedica’s website and online blog. We also activate our Twitter account at this point.

As we start, it is worthwhile to mention that pharmaceutical industry is one of the most regulated areas of business. The Finnish Medicines Act strictly limits the promotion of prescription medicines only to persons who have a right to prescribe medicines, i.e. to doctors only. Therefore we will not discuss prescription medicines or their properties on this public website.

So, what new are we going to bring via this blog and social media? At this point it is hard to tell, but at least we will cover urology, which is a key therapeutic area for us. In addition, topics we cover should have a link to our company and/or to Finland. We will write and tweet in Finnish or in English, depending on what kind of audience we intend to reach.

The theme of this first ever blog post is summer vacation. I am just adding a picture my friend took at the sunny Bengtskär island in Gulf of Finland earlier this week: gorgeous Mute swan couple.
